Lindsay Keir is a
Scottish artist who studied at Glasgow school of Art and the Royal College
of Art in London. From her Salisbury studio she specilaises in painting
with a variety of water based media using, when appropriate, high-lights
of gold leaf and metallic inks as decorative elements.
Her chosen imagery is flowers (still life), birds and animals. She transforms
everyday familiar objects with a powerful romantic language using strong
colour and texture. The richness of her paintings reflect her designers
eye and the unique observational qualities show a true depth of spirit.
She exhibits widely, including the annual exhibitions;
The Royal Glasgow Institute (RGI) in Glasgow and the Royal Scottish
Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) and The Royal Scottish Academy
(RSA) in Edinburgh.
Other venues include; The Royal Festival Hall at the South Bank Centre,
London and Fisherton Mill in Salisbury. She has work in many private
collections in the UK, Scandinavia and the USA.
